Socrative: A cool tool for the classroom
Socrative is a great tool that allows both students and teachers to get instantaneous feedback. This functions like a student response system allowing any phone, tablet, or laptop to be used as a device to log in answers. Below you will see what a typical quiz looks like. i have also included several different samples to showcase the power of this both while the Socrative web app is running and after the report that is generated. To create a quiz check out the section at the end. No grading required on the teacher. Click through the slide show below to look at a few pictures of Socrative in action.

Learning Path
The learning path of a student should be individualized according to the UDL principals. In this capacity ad techteaching we want to help do that. Below is the mach up of the Learning Path framework for our motion unit. The framework itself uses several different strategies to figure out the level of the students and groups students by ability. This is to help differentiate students in this lesson. Several different levels are mixed together at each point to allow for a more diverse crowd and to prevent students that are weaker from being completely isolated. More detailed teacher descriptions follow for each activity as well as learning goals and assessments Take a look below and then look at the bottom of the page for help in setting up these resources.

How to information for using and sharing google presentations from your drive |
Students need to evaluate themselves and their group. The above rubric is only the first part. The second part comes at the conclusion of their whiteboard activity. Each one will complete a survey using google forms that will allow the groups to rate themselves and then the teacher to come over and compare the rating. The students will also formally rate themselves and their understanding as well as give a reflection in their journal.

Quest: Online learning and assessment through UT
Quest is a phenomenal tool for the teacher and the student. The advantages of Quest is that it offers a higher level of thinking through an online component that is graded by the system. It reduces teacher workload and provides live feedback to students. If they are getting questions wrong then it tells them right then. Quest also reduces cheating on homework by creating unique problems for each student. The way you solve them is the same so students can work together still, but the numbers are different. Take a look at the sample assessment below and then feel free to check out how to purchase the site license for only $99 for a public school.
